78 Carter Avenue Pawtucket, RI 02861 Tel: 401-726-9873 Organization Contacts: Gregory Berndt, President, 860-230-9020 Gabrielle Ferreira, AGSNE Delegate, The German-American Cultural Society of Rhode Island came into existence in 1998 with the merger of the German Dramatic Society of Olneyville and the Eintracht Singing Society of Pawtucket. Both performing groups, chartered in Rhode Island, were founded over 100 years ago. The GACS supports a German language school which offers two 12-week sessions during the year. There are now three Performance organizations within the Society: the Schubert Chor, the Lorelei Chorus and the SGTV Alpenblumen, a Bavarian Dance Group. All have regular rehearsals.
